In last Sunday's bulletin, we had a quote about prayer that has me thinking again about our AWANA program. See if you agree with my thinking.
"The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history." Andrew Murray
When we are praying for the AWANA program held at GCC, we could well be praying for the world. These young people are learning about God, how He has revealed Himself in the Bible, and how He wants each of us to live based on that knowledge. They are sharing this with their friends and families. We have had four weeks of club so far this year. With a minimum of 56 children in club and a maximum of 76, that's a lot of opportunity for learning and sharing. Do you see the ripples that I see? Where will this spread? Only God knows. (And I was only talking about the children. Don't forget about the leadership and all the learning and sharing they do outside of club.)
There is another exciting thought: although you may be unable to be in our AWANA clubs teaching or learning along with us, you could have a great part in "world evangelization" through your prayers.
If you pray for this ministry, I say a hearty "Thank you."
Please encourage us by letting us know that you serve along side us.
