Just as the name implies, Fifth Sunday Hymn Sings are on fifth Sundays. That averages to about once every three months.
We don't gather to hear each other sing but, to hear ourselves repeat Truth aloud in unison with others. There is something deep within each of us that needs to be reminded of the Truth...of God's love for each of us; of the way of salvation by grace alone; of the peace that comes from fully trusting our futures to the Lord's sovereign will; and so on. There is something within us that likes to hear the old, familiar truths of God as they have been set to music. Is your heart running over with joy because of what Jesus has done (to you) (for you) (through you)?
If the Hymn-Tank in your heart is running low, consider joining us on January 31 at 7 PM in the sanctuary at GCC.
There is plenty of room to spread out if you do not wish others to hear you. You are the one who needs to hear you.
